The Death of a Viola
A four-part sound installation piece exploring my history with PTSD and the lack of memory (non-memory). The first part will be a mannequin, "playing my viola", built out of seamless paper scraps.
the Second part is a sound sculpture transcribed from a PTSD episode I had. The third act will destroy the viola ( beat, break, blend, etc.). The fourth act will involve composting and planting a tree with the viola remains, coming from my family's tradition of planting trees at a child's birth.
Oil Doesn't Mix

A series of Graphic scores painted on Polaroids of locations effected by oil drilling. Each score is performed in the location where the photo was taken. After each performance, The performer adds something left by humans to the score. Capitalism tries to hide Oil Drilling hides in plain sight, with focus one can find it again. Exploring the holistic potential of sound and space, this piece acts as a meditation on pollution and modernity.
